Migge: The troll, the scarf, and the crow (spread) (2006)
The second pages of the Migge-book. On the left, there is a knitted bookmark with feathers woven and beads stitched into it. I wanted to create a beautiful book that would suit the contents and atmosphere of the book, and look as though it was plucked from the very forest itself.
On this particular spread, the character has been picking blueberries; hence the blue stains.
This was on display in an exhibition and part of a larger display containing "bottled memories" and a large-scale triptych of forest scenery from within the story.
Cardboard, cloth, bark, feathers, knitted yarn, beads, wool, watercolors, chalk, monotype print, ink
