Eve Tempted - Collage (2004)paperclip

This was part of an assignment where I had to make a collage from pieces I have found during my researching of a theme. (Mythology.. I classed religion under Mythology because I wanted to discriminate equally.)
This was done in Photoshop and while I would have loved to play more with layers and such, I decided to keep it traditional-looking because we were not really meant to do it with the computer. I actually prefer this one to the actual collages...

The collage was made over Blake's "Eve Tempted by the Serpent"-drawing, using the female figure from one of his "Adam and Eve" sketches. The backdrop and the waves on the ground are from various M. C. Escher's "Days of Creation" prints. The Serpent is actually Escher's "Dragon". The trees have been endowed with the touch of Jacopo Bellini's drawing of "Soldier Battling a Dragon".
