Moloch (2005)
I was trying to go for something steampunkish. Something detailed and functional-looking but at the same time completely exaggerated and stylized. The sculpture is named Moloch after the great evil god in the film Metropolis.
See also the sketch and small compilation of photographs if you're interested in how the sculpture was made. There are further experimentations done in photoshop in this same section. A maquette is a model made of the sculpture before the sculpture itself is created. It can be seen in this picture sitting on the base of the sculpture, made of cardboard and string.
