Self-Portrait (2003)
This is from my first experiment with monoprinting. My previous two efforts had failed somewhat because I had put on too much ink, which resulted in a pair of sunglasses in the first try and an afro in the second one.
The theme of the class was self-portraits. This print is simply an attempt at capturing how I tend to look, especially during art lessons. The original is quite a lot larger, and the ink has been dug into and textured a bit more than is visible in this shrunk scan.
